Nakia Resort & Dive and Taveuni Ocean Sports for Sale, US$2.3 million
Tropical rainforests with rare native birds and spectacular waterfalls, pristine beaches and world-class coral reefs await you at Nakia Resort & Dive, Limited and its wholly-owned dive business, Taveuni Ocean Sports (TOS). Intimate and family-owned, Nakia is the only eco resort on Taveuni Island with a 12-meter fresh-water swimming pool and family-friendly, diving, snorkeling, and adventure programs.
TOS offers the best recreational scuba diving and training in Fiji. Many well-travelled clients rate TOS among the best dive operators in the world! Both Nakia and TOS are ranked #1 on TripAdvisor – Nakia outranks all other Taveuni resorts, and TOS is ranked highest among all Things To Do on the Island.
These award-winning, profitable, fully integrated, eco-dive resort companies are offered for sale for US$2.3 million by the owners of Nakia and TOS – Jim and Robin Kelly and their daughter, Julie Kelly. The resort and dive companies are perfectly located in an undeveloped area along the northwest portion of Taveuni’s coastal road, eight kilometers south of Matei airport and four kilometers north of the small commercial center of Naqara. TOS’ main dive shop is located on the shore at Vatulaga Point, about 400 meters (1/4 mile) south of Nakia. A secondary dive shop is located in Matei, near other resorts and the airport.
This is the first time, since construction in 2003, that the businesses have been offered for sale, presenting a unique opportunity for the right investor. All buildings and facilities are less than 12 years old, and all equipment has been replaced as needed to maintain the highest standards. Both businesses are thriving and profitable; resort and dive shop staff are the best on Taveuni; and there are a substantial number of repeat guests and divers. TripAdvisor reviews attest to these facts.
The Kelly family has been privileged to work together in Fiji to build and operate Nakia and TOS, in one of the most beautiful places on Earth. Staff of the resort and dive shop are fully trained, highly capable, and friendly local Fijians. Staff of both businesses hope to continue working for the new owners, and the Kellys gladly will assist during the transition period following the sale.
